My Favorite Savory Snacks at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays 2021

There’s nothing quite as magical as the holidays at Disney World! Disney World’s EPCOT celebrates the holidays around the world with the International Festival of the Holidays. All around the EPCOT park are different holiday kitchens that serve delicious small plates & drinks from around the world so you can enjoy an international taste right there in Orlando, Florida! There are so many options to eat, drink AND experience, but let me recap some of my favorites from EPCOT’s 2021 International Festival of the Holidays in Disney World!

Seared Scallops with Parsnip Silk, Apple Chutney and Hazelnut Croquant

Where?? Yukon Holiday Kitchen – Canada Pavilion

Seared to perfection, the scallops were only amplified by the flavors surrounding them! Definitely make sure to get a bit of each flavor on your fork when taking a bite for maximum flavor!

And have to share a little love to the Beef Bourguignon, which, although weren’t for me personally, was a big hit at the festival as a whole! Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of hearty stews!

Potato Latkes (plant-based and gluten/wheat-friendly)

Where?? L'Chaim! Holiday Kitchen – Between Morocco and France Pavilions

The Potato Latkes continue to be a delicious holiday festival favorite! Think of a smashed hash brown drizzled with a light dill sauce. You’ll find yourself wanting seconds, no doubt!

I also wanted to give some love to the Pastrami on Rye that was such a good bite and such an adorable little sandwich!

House-made Cheesy Crab Wontons

Where?? Lotus Blossom Café - China Pavilion

These wontons were fried to crispy perfection & stuffed to the brim with a cheesy crab filling! The sweet and sour sauce on top made this dish a delightful sweet and savory combo that was to die for!

Stone-baked Moroccan Bread with Hummus, Fig Tapenade, and Zhoug Dip

Where?? Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina – Morocco Pavilion

This bread was warm and fresh and although delicious on it’s own, you get three tasty options for dipping! Personally, the Zhoug Dip was my top pick with that cilantro kick!

Giant Tostada de Chorizo: Chorizo served on a Giant Tostada with Chipotle Black Bean Purée, Salsa Verde, Queso Cotija, Crema Mexicana and Pickled Onion

Where?? Las Posadas Holiday Kitchen – Mexico Pavilion

The Mexico Pavilion is always a favorite of mine so it was no surprise this holiday treat made it onto the must-try list. Lots of flavors that just combine so well… make sure to get a little bit of everything in every bite!

Italian Margarita with Tequila and Limoncello

Where?? Tuscany Holiday Kitchen – Italy Pavilion

I’m a sucker for a good lemon treat but this frozen combo was extra delicious!! The sweetness was cut with the tequila and just made for a super refreshing & tasty drink!

Chirashi Sushi Tree: Sashimi-grade Tuna, Salmon, Ikura and Yellowtail with Vegetables on an artistic bed of Rice

Where?? Shi Wasu Holiday Kitchen – Japan Pavilion

This was such an easy, light bite to eat. It reminded me of a deconstructed spicy tuna roll. On a hot day, and with so many heavier options at the festival, this was a refreshing plate! All of the ingredients were fresh and flavorful and bonus points that’s its a totally instagram-able dish!

Snacks to Skip!

Those were my FAVORITES out of all the treats we tried, but these particular dishes I’m sharing below were a bit disappointing. With SO many delicious options at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays, here are a few you can skip :)

Pork Schnitzel with Mushroom Sauce, Spätzle and Braised Red Cabbage

Where?? Bavaria Holiday Kitchen – Germany Pavilion

Sadly, this savory snack was tasteless and rubbery. Go with the cheese fondue bread bowl instead and thank me later!

Holiday Pot Pie with Jackfruit, Mushrooms, Carrots, Peas, Onions and Puff Pastry (plant-based)

*Plant-based

Where?? American Holiday Table – American Adventure Pavilion

Appreciation for the vegetarian option, but the noticeable lack of seasoning made this sadly a very disappointing dish!

Mezzelune Croccanti: Crispy Half-moon Breaded Mozzarella-filled Ravioli with Pomodoro Sauce

Crispy Half-moon Breaded Mozzarella-filled Ravioli with Pomodoro Sauce

Where?? Tuscany Holiday Kitchen – Italy Pavilion

Nothing too special about this treat as it’s very much like a fried ravioli or a glorified mozzarella stick.. Save your appetite for a different holiday treat, in my opinion!

Choya Sparkling Plum Wine (Pictured on the right)

This light, sweet tasting champagne-like drink was good and tasty enough but really lacked anything special. Opt for the Sparkling Dragon (pictured left) instead located at Garden House!

*A special thank you to my friends Nikole & Alyssa for helping me try all these tasty snacks & drinks!*
