How to: Everyday Makeup Look

If you’re like so many of my clients, you probably have the same makeup routine that you’ve had for years, right? Maybe you’ve thought about changing it up, but where would you even start? Why mess with something that’s already working? And there’s nothing wrong with that thought process!

But in case you want to take those thoughts and put them into action, I’m here to help! In my newest video, I’m sharing a basic, everyday makeup routine that might just feel a little more elevated than your usual foundation, blush, and mascara!

Step 1: Moisturize!

Step 2: Primer. Apply starting in your t-zone and spreading out

Step 3: Foundation. Apply in sheer layers, starting on the outskirts of your face and moving in. You may need to mix shades! Start with the darker shade all over your face and finish with the lighter shade, starting in the t-zone to brighten.

Step 4: Concealer. Use under the eyes, brows, on blemishes, and anywhere with redness or darkness you want to cover. I like to blend with my finger first, then with a big foundation brush.

Step 5: Set the foundation and concealer. I prefer a loose powder over a pressed powder, but you can use whatever you like.

Now that your skin is even, we get to add some color back into your face!

Step 6: Bronzer. Start where ear begins and follow both cheekbones to create a shadow. Use the product that’s left on the brush to go around your hairline, down the center of your face, and over your eyelids. Next you can blend the same bronzer into the creases of your eyes using an eyeshadow brush to add some depth without having to use using another product!

Step 7: Eyebrows. Brush them out in both directions with a clear brow gel to keep them in place.

Step 8: Blush. Apply from the apple of your cheek into the bronzer.

Step 9: Eyeliner. Run the pencil along your top lashline, underneath the lashes, and on the outside and bottom edges to define the eye. Blend out both lines to add softness.

Step 10: Lashes. Curl your lashes - this is a step I NEVER skip! Then apply mascara to both top and bottom lashes.

Step 11: Lips (if you want). Lipstick, stain or gloss, even just chapstick! Use whatever you like to finish off the look.
